"Convenient Midtown Spot, But Busy"
The location is really easy to get to since it’s right in midtown and close to the trains, which definitely made things convenient. That said, the area is super busy, so it can feel a bit stressful if you’re not into crowds. I also expected a faster response when I had a question, but overall it’s a good choice if convenience is your main priority rather than a quiet, relaxed visit

We went at night, and I have to admit the city lights looked really amazing once we got up there. Buying tickets on esbnyc.com was straightforward, so no complaints there. That said, it was more crowded than I expected, and the wait felt longer than it probably should have. Maybe I just picked a busy time, I don’t know. It was still a nice experience overall, but I kept wondering if it could’ve been a bit smoother for the price...

"Actually Glad We Got the Photo"
We grabbed the souvenir photo after our visit, i wasn’t expecting much. Then I saw it and was like, wait, this actually came out really good. The staff helped us quickly, and downloading it was simple enough. The price is a little high, but whatever, it’s NYC, so I guess that’s not exactly shocking. Anyway, it ended up being a really nice memory from the Empire State Building, and I’m glad we got it

"Booking was more annoying than it needed to be"
I booked my tickets on esbnyc, the site was frustrating. It felt slow, and I had to double-check the times twice because the layout made it way more confusing than it should’ve been. That’s on them — buying tickets shouldn’t feel like a chore. The payment did go through fine and the confirmation showed up quickly, so at least that part worked. Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but they really need to fix the site and make it easier to use

The queues took ages, ages. It was a bit frustrating waiting around for so long, but once we finally got through, the view was still really nice. Really nice. So overall, not perfect, but the scenery did make up for it a little.

"Pretty smooth overall"
The lines were there, yeah, but they kept moving. Not super fast, not painfully slow either. Just kind of steady. The staff seemed to know what they were doing, especially with all the people around. Crowds could’ve gotten annoying, but they kept things calm, which I appreciated.

"Best View I Had in NYC"

They had some really cool exhibits, and I liked that it felt like a place trying to teach people something meaningful instead of just entertain them. It’s always nice to support spots that put effort into preserving stories, sharing knowledge, and giving visitors a better understanding of the world around them.

"Decent NYC souvenir stop, but still… it’s NYC prices"
Stopped in and grabbed a hoodie and a few magnets. The prices were okay for NYC, I guess, though it still hurts a little paying tourist-shop prices for basic stuff. The staff was friendly and checkout was quick, so at least that part wasn’t a hassle. My kids were obsessed with the little King Kong items, which made the stop worth it.

"Usable overall, but could be smoother"
Maybe it’s just me, but the site felt mostly usable without being super smooth. Some pages loaded totally fine, and I was able to find the main information I needed, which was good. A few buttons and links were kind of easy to miss though, and some of the text felt a little cramped in certain spots. It wasn’t a bad experience, but I do think it could be made a bit easier, especially for people using accessibility tools

"Worth Going for the Sunset"
I went around sunset i’m glad I did. The view was really beautiful and made the wait feel worth it in the end. The line moved slowly, which had me wondering if it was going to be a hassle, but once I got up there, I felt relieved I stuck it out. Overall, a nice experience.

"Worth Checking the Visibility First"
I checked the visibility on the ESB NYC site before heading over, and it turned out to be accurate. The sky was clear enough for some really great city views, which made the visit feel worth it. I’m glad we held off and waited for a better weather day instead of going earlier.

"Better Than I Expected"
I went in thinking the view would be the main thing, but the whole place ended up having such a cool vibe. I’ve been to a few busy spots in NYC before where it felt chaotic, but this one stayed organized and the staff kept everything moving. The lighting was great, the energy was fun, and it really felt like one of those classic NYC moments.
